Celebrating 40 Years!

Below is the story of our beginnings by Kelvin Dickens our Founder.

In 1974 whilst working at Adelaide Central Methodist Mission I realised that Aldersgate Village with its 400+ residents was able to purchase supplies at considerably better prices than Lentara Children’s Homes with its 60 children in residence. Following internal discussions within the Mission, I told other Methodist organisation executives (George Martin, Vernon Harrison and Gordon Symons) of what I was considering trying and guarded interest was expressed.
